New Christmas Ornies for 2013

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back!
It's almost Christmas time.  Yes, indeed it's just around the corner.  I have been busy in the studio making one of a kind ornies. It's been fun making these ornies while listening to may favorite classic Christmas songs. It just gives me the warm fuzzies!
One of these ornies will be available on the PFATT Marketplace on the 10th of the month.  The others will be on sale in my ETSY shop beginning Friday night, Dec. 6th.

Here is a sneak peak of my 2013 Christmas ornies.

Nothing stops Santa from delivering his Toys.

Vintage SnowGentleman with his pipe.

Vintage Windy Day Snowman with a Candy Cane.

Elf in the Box.

Santa's Helper.

All of these are sculpted onto antique German Christmas Tree Candle holders. They are marked Germany and have some rusty, faded paint, old memories kind of charm.
I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peak and you will join me for the updates

Have a wonderful week!

Happy November! New Art Prints in my ETSY Shop, ETSY SALE, and A Sneak Peak!

Hi everyone and Happy November to you! It seems as though the Holiday decorating lines keep getting more and more blurred. I for one still have my Halloween decor up in my house.
Over the next two weeks I will be moving my Halloween art pieces back into my art room and clearing the house for Christmas.
My neighborhood, and town for that matter, seems to be divided in thirds.
1/3 is still decorated for Halloween
1/3 is already decorated for Christmas
and 1/3 does not have any decorations at all.
How about you? Where are you in your decorating timeline?

Well for those of you that collect Halloween all year round or you know someone on your Christmas list that does.  :)  I am having an ETSY SALE this month!

This is Precious, my last little baby bat and she is on SALE in my ETSY shop

There are 4 originals left in my ETSY shop, Precious the bat pup, is one of them.  They have all been reduced for immediate sale so come see what kind of bargains you find at Anaboo Creations on ETSY.

I am also now offering high quality art prints at a very reasonable $10.00 in my ETSY shop.
Each Print is signed and will come in an acid free archival cellophane sleeve, ready to be framed.

I am currently working on a few Christmas ornaments.
4 of them will go to my PFATT sisters for our annual PFATT Christmas ornament swap and the other 4 or 5 will either be listed as an update in my ETSY shop or for the December issue of the PFATT Marketplace.
Either way I will keep you informed of where they will be.
Here is a work in progress photo should you want a sneak peak.

Yup they are mounted on antique German Christmas Tree candle holders.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Autumnal Equinox...Let's Catch up.

Hello Dears,
It has been nearly two months since my last post. I apologize for my absence. In this post I will try to get you all caught up in the happenings at Anaboo Creations.

First thing I wanted to share is my Dia De los Muertos Art Doll.  She is back from Art Doll Quarterly and is now available in my ETSY shop.

Next I'd like to tell you about the group of baby bats that were born in my studio earlier this summer.
Here is a picture.

Luckily, they have all been adopted or are in the process of being adopted!

Then we had the mini Catrinas.
These were all great fun to make and have also all found awesome new homes.

These little ladies have some cousins that will be here soon. So stay tuned if you like Dia de los Muertos art.  Three more minis coming soon!
Lastly, we have this months new PFATT Marketplace pieces.
First up is Frances the Seer

Frances also found her forever home!

Then there's Happy Jack!
Happy Jack is still available.

He is now posted on EBAY starting tonight.

Phew! It's been a busy 7 weeks and in the midst of all of that we are knee deep in Volleyball and Cross Country Seasons.

I think we may be all caught up now.
I will be heading out to Ghoultide Gathering in Chelsea, Michigan next weekend.
I will try to post pictures when I return! :)

Have a wonderful, magical week!
Happy Autumnal Equinox!

A Huge Honor...

I am so very excited and honored to be published in this year's Autumn edition of Art Doll Quarterly.
Although Art Doll Quarterly always does a beautiful job in every issue, I love their Autumn issues best of all! I am very grateful and humbled to be published in the autumn issue 3 years in a row, now.

This is a wonderful issue, so many of my Super talented friends are in this one.
So many artists that I admire. It is definitely worth adding to your list of magazines to get this fall.
You can find this magazine at Barnes & Nobles all over the country as well as other major bookstores the first week of August.
Or you can buy it directly from the publisher Stampington & Company
My Alma is pictured in the table of contents representing the Santos Cage Doll Challenge Results.
You can also find her on page 72.

A Special Thank You to Danielle Mohler and Jana Holstein, as well as all of the staff at
Art Doll Quarterly.

If I don't hear back from you by July 28th I will pick another winner until we find a good home for both butterflies.
Thank you all for participating! I enjoyed each of your comments and I wish I had more butterflies for all of you.
I will be having another Halloween themed giveaway in September so follow my blog and stay tuned.
Have a great evening!

WeLcOmE To OuR FaNciFuL GaRdEn ToUr, MaD TeA PARTy aNd GivEaWay!!!

Welcome Friends!

Come on in, let me show you around.

All the flowers are in bloom.

In many beautiful shapes and colors.

The rain we've had lately has kept them dancing.

Even the trees are full and lush.

It's the perfect setting for a tea party.

But not just any ol' tea party.

A MaD tEa PaRtY!!!

Wait...What is...WHO is that?!

Could it be....
Let's take a closer look and see.

But much to my dismay, he disappeared in a poof of smoke!

In his place there were two beautiful butterflies.

Do you see them?
I think they have gone to explore. I do hope they will return.
Maybe for a spot of tea.

It's a lovely setting and there is fresh blackberry sage tea waiting for us.

Would you like cream and sugar with your tea?

How about a tasty cupcake?

Oh my, there are red velvet cupcakes, Boston cream pie cupcakes, minty chocolate chip cupcakes, chocolate fudge cupcakes, and black forrest cupcakes.

* Decisions...Decisions...Decisions *

How about one of each!

While deciding on a cupcake or three, guess who came back to join us?

It's the butterflies! They seem to be lost.

They just whispered to me that they are not lost. But, they are looking for a new home!

These two are hand made butterflies sewn from muslin with a bit of batting for a quilted appearance and then painted in acrylics.
These can be a special accent to a handmade quilt or a hanging decoration near a window so they can flow in the breeze.
These two beautiful butterflies are my GIVEAWAY!

All you have to do is leave me a comment below and you will be entered to win.
Two people will be chosen at random and the winners will be announced on Sunday July 21st.
Please leave me an e-mail address so that I can get a hold of you if you are a winner.
If I cannot get a hold of you by July 28th a new winner will be chosen, until the butterflies both find good homes.

ALSO, I will be announcing ANOTHER GIVEAWAY in the next couple of months so be sure to sign up to follow my blog, using the widgets on the right.

In the meantime, make sure you visit Ms. Vanessa Valencia, our Fabulous Fanciful Blog Mad Tea Party Queen Hostess. Here is the link: A Fanciful Twist  there you will find the list of other parties to visit.
Thank you Ms. Vanessa for organizing such a grand event!
I so enjoy this every year!!!
Cheers!
~Sylvia~

*A special Thanks also goes out to my wonderful son for his help with this year's festivities.
