About Me

My photo
Welcome, my name is Sylvia Smiser. I am a self taught artist. I enjoy creating one of a kind art dolls and sculpted figures. Vintage Halloween styled artwork and Dia de los Muertos art dolls is what comes naturally to me and what I am most passionate about creating. I am a proud member of the wonderful art groups EHAG (Eclectic Halloween Artists Guild) and PFATT (Primitive Folk Art Talk & Tea). I am a participating artist at Ghoultide Gathering. I am honored to have been published in Art Doll Quarterly, Dolls magazine, Somerset Studio Gallery and Celebrate 365 Magazine. I am also a Physical Therapist and Mama to 15 year old Boy/Girl Twins. My husband is a wonderful man who is very supportive of my art and together with our two doggy fur kids we make one happy, busy family.

New Winifred Witch Doll on EBAY Now!

Winifred has heard that the witch hunters are on their way and her hat just blew away in the wind! Oh no! Should she run away or run after her hat?  She is unsure what to do. That is her most favorite tall hat.
Come visit her on EBAY to see what she decided to do. Also, if your home can offer her sanctuary she would appreciate the bid.

Great News!!!

Yesterday when I woke up the sky was grey and dark. It was a quiet morning and I did not expect to do much but catch up on housework.
While I had my coffee I decided to check my e-mail and to my jaw dropping surprise I received the most wonderful news.   Lori Davis from PFATT sent me a message to let me know that I was accepted into the PFATT group.
I was so excited I ran around the house whooping and hollering.  I think my husband thought I finally lost it.  Suddenly, it seemed as though the clouds burned away and the sun was shinning and the birds were chirping.
It is a privilege and honor to be a PFATTIE! Thank you ladies for voting me into the group.  I will try to make you proud.

For those of you that don't know PFATT is a wonderful EBAY group with many wonderful artists that you may recognize. Please check it out.
